我院戴志平副教授关于光学孤子在非局域介质中的相互作用最新研究进展

光学孤子是在非线性介质中传播的局域化光波。空间光孤子是由于衍射效应与非线性效应达到平衡时,光束所形成的一种自陷或自导的稳定传输状态。光孤子的研究不仅可以使我们扩展对基本物理现象的理解,而且更重要的是光孤子本身在光子信息处理(全光空间调制和图象处理,全光开关,全光互连,以及全光逻辑光路等)方面有广泛的应用。另一方面,介质的非局域性广泛存在于各种非线性介质中,有望导致产生全新的操纵光的技术。本文研究了一种典型非局域介质中孤子的相互作用,发现平行入射孤子会发生周期性碰撞,碰撞周期随着非局域程度的减小而增大,而斜入射孤子之间的相互作用与它们的入射夹角有关。当夹角大于某一临界值时,两者不再发生碰撞而彼此远离。该成果发表在荷兰国际化多媒体出版集团爱思唯尔(elsevier)旗下著名的物理杂志Annals of Physics (二区)上。
